STUDENTS FROM MONTANA FIRST NATION IN ALBERTA REFLECT ON HISTORICAL & CONTEMPORARY STRUGGLES IN THE EDUCATION SYSTEM

Every year, 25 students from Montana First Nation take part in a two-week college summer camp, hosted by the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) in Calgary.

Darkspark was there to document the camp experience and work with the youth to create a song and documentary reflective of the historical and contemporary struggles in the education system for Indigenous youth, and their shared hope for the future.
