CAMBRIDGE, Ontario IS A CITY IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF WATERLOO. Located an hour WEST OF TORONTO, it IS HOME TO DIVERSE PEOPLE AND INDUSTRIES.
Even though the Darkspark team visited William G. Davis school in April, our trip was cut short by a flash ice storm. That didn’t stop the Grade 7/8 enrichment class we worked with from giving the Four Directions experience everything they had. This very multicultural class was the only class that participated in the project that had no identified FNMI students within.
While there, our team collaborated with Grade 7 & 8 students, teacher Kim Stenhouse, Midewiwin Elder Red Bear and staff at William G. Davis School.
Thanks to Heritage Canada, the Waterloo Region District School Board, The Cambridge & North Dumfries Community Foundation, The Ontario Arts Council and Canada 150 for their support in bringing The Four Directions Project to Cambridge.
